Voice calls
Voice calls are off on a self-hosted server. The boot log says
mirra.voice=off, and the client hides the call buttons.
Calls run on Agora. To turn them on with an
Agora project of your own, set both of these in .env.selfhost and run
docker compose --env-file .env.selfhost up -d:
Both values come from your project in the Agora console, which bills you
for call minutes under Agora's own terms. The server hands the app ID to
the web client through /api/client-config.
That gives you calls. It does not give you what the assistant does during and after a call: live transcripts, the in-call assistant button, and call summaries. Those need live-call transcription, which the default in-process event bus does not carry. A self-hosted server doesn't offer them. The call-reminder and call-summary flows deploy when flows are on (Self-host quickstart): a reminder posts "No conversation detected", and a summary is skipped.
